Terms of Use

micamic is an online service for pet owners: an electronic pet passport, records about health, vaccinations, parasite treatments, treatment, diet, care and weight, a medical record and its PDF, vaccination and parasite recommendations, food tracking, files, expenses, plans and reminders in the calendar, sync with external calendars, shared access, a QR card in case the pet gets lost and “Looking for a home” listings.

micamic is not a veterinary service or clinic. It doesn't make diagnoses, prescribe treatment or replace veterinary care. All records are entered by users. The medical record, PDF and other documents in micamic are not official veterinary documents and don't replace a pet passport, certificates or vet statements. If you have any doubts about your animal's health, see a vet.

Reminders are shown on the site (on the home screen and in the calendar) and, if you turned on sync, in your own calendar. External calendars update with a delay, so don't rely on micamic as the only way to remember an important procedure.

• You can sign up with an email address and password or with a Google account. A name is optional.
• You must be at least 16 years old to sign up.
• Use an email address you have access to: confirmation emails, password reset links and invitations are sent there.
• You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for actions taken in your account. If you suspect someone has accessed your account, change the password and end sessions on other devices in settings.
• One account is for one person. To keep records together, invite other people to a pet: each of them will have their own account.

When using micamic, you agree:

• to add only information and files you have the right to, and not to infringe other people's rights, including their rights to their personal data;
• not to upload illegal, offensive or harmful material, or files unrelated to caring for animals;
• to publish in “Looking for a home” only listings for pets in your care, with truthful information and your own contact details;
• not to try to access other people's data, bypass the service's limits, overload it with automated requests or interfere with how it works;
• not to use message forms, listings or invitations for spam or deception.

Everything you add belongs to you. You allow us to store, process and show this data to you and to the people you have given access, and what you publish to visitors, solely to run the service.

Pet data is private by default. Only the QR card and a “Looking for a home” listing become public, if you turn them on, and only with the details you choose. You decide what is shown and can unpublish them at any time.

Files can be up to 10 MB. We back up the database, but we recommend keeping the originals of important documents yourself.

We may hide or remove material and listings that clearly break the law or these terms, and will let you know.

The medical record and PDF are built from records entered by you and the pet's other members. We don't verify their accuracy.

Vaccination, parasite and check-up recommendations are a general schedule based on international guidelines (WSAVA, ESCCAP and others) and your records. They are a suggestion, not a prescription: a veterinarian chooses the scheme, timing and product, taking into account the animal's condition and local requirements. You can change or turn off recommendations.

A pet's owner can invite other people by email as "owner", "editor" or "viewer", change a role, revoke access or transfer the pet to another person. A transfer takes effect once the recipient accepts it.

When you invite someone, you choose to open the pet's data to them and are responsible for that choice. A member who receives access agrees to use the pet's data only for caring for it together.

If a pet has several owners, only the last remaining owner can delete it; other members can leave.

“Looking for a home” helps owners find a new family for their pet. We only publish the listing and pass on messages. We are not a party to any arrangement between the owner and the person who responds, don't check people or animals and are not responsible for the outcome of a rehoming. Meet in a safe place and don't send prepayments to strangers.

The service is free. There are no paid plans, subscriptions or built-in ads. There is no limit on the number of pets.

If paid features appear in the future, we will publish their terms in advance. What is already free won't become paid for existing data without your consent.

The service is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it running reliably and your data safe, but we can't guarantee there will be no interruptions, errors or data loss caused by circumstances beyond our control.

We are not responsible for decisions about an animal's health or treatment made on the basis of records, the medical record or micamic recommendations, for missed procedures, or for the accuracy of information entered by users.

Otherwise, the parties' liability is governed by the laws of the Republic of Moldova, including mandatory consumer protection rules.

You can stop using the service at any time. An owner can delete a pet themselves. There is no button to delete the whole account in the interface yet: to delete it, write to [email protected] from the address it is registered with. What gets deleted is described in the Privacy Policy.

We may block or delete an account in case of serious or repeated breaches of these terms, notifying you in advance where possible.

We may change these terms when the service or the law changes. The current version is always published on this page with its date. We will give advance notice of significant changes. If you keep using the service after the changes take effect, you accept the new version.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Moldova. We try to settle disputes through negotiation; if that fails, the dispute will be heard by the competent court of the Republic of Moldova.
