How to adopt a dog in Moldova
How much does it cost to adopt a dog?
On micamic adoption is free: owners don't ask for money and we take no fee. You only have the usual costs: food, collar and leash, vaccinations, a microchip and neutering if it hasn't been done.
How do I adopt a dog through micamic?
Pick a dog from the list, open the listing and message the owner through the form or call. Ask how the dog gets on with children and other animals and how much walking it needs, then arrange a meeting and a walk together.
What should I prepare for a dog?
A collar with an ID tag (or QR), a leash, bowls, the food it is used to, a bed and toys. Decide in advance who will walk it 2–3 times a day. In a flat, a calm adult dog often settles in more easily than a puppy.
Which vaccinations does an adopted dog need?
The core vaccine (distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis, leptospirosis) and rabies, plus tick, flea and worm treatments. The rabies vaccination is mandatory. In micamic you can record vaccinations and get reminders when they are due.
Can I list a dog that needs a home?
Yes, for free. Create an account, add the dog and publish the listing from its page. Sex, age, neutering and breed (or mixed) are required; photos help the most.
